Zero Tolerance Notice

ALTIVOR INSTITUTE operates a zero-tolerance policy with respect to fraudulent conduct, platform abuse and any activity designed to obtain an unfair or unauthorised advantage. Confirmed violations will result in immediate enforcement action and may be referred to the relevant legal authorities.

This Anti-Fraud Policy (the "Policy") sets out the framework governing the prevention, detection and response to fraudulent, abusive or manipulative conduct in connection with the use of services offered through the platform operated by ALTIVOR INSTITUTE at altivor.institute (the "Platform").

All users are required to familiarise themselves with this Policy. By accessing the Platform, users confirm their understanding of and compliance with its provisions.

Section 01
Policy Objectives

This Policy has been established to:

  • protect the users of the Platform from fraudulent and abusive conduct by other parties
  • maintain the integrity, security and reliability of the Platform and its underlying infrastructure
  • prevent financial fraud, technical exploitation and data manipulation
  • ensure a fair and equitable environment for all legitimate users
  • mitigate legal, financial and reputational risk to ALTIVOR INSTITUTE
Section 02
Definition of Fraud & Abuse

For the purposes of this Policy, fraudulent or abusive conduct refers to any intentional act or omission designed to obtain an unauthorised benefit, avoid a legitimate obligation, or cause harm to ALTIVOR INSTITUTE, other users, or third parties.

This includes, but is not limited to, acts involving deception, misrepresentation, manipulation of systems or data, exploitation of technical vulnerabilities, and any conduct inconsistent with the Terms & Conditions or applicable law.

Section 03
Prohibited Conduct

The following categories of conduct are strictly prohibited on the Platform:

3.1 Account Abuse
  • registering multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing access restrictions, limits or penalties
  • using another person's identity, credentials or personal data to create or access an account
  • sharing account access with any third party not authorised under the Terms & Conditions
  • selling, transferring, leasing or otherwise conveying account access to any third party
3.2 Financial Fraud
  • using payment methods to which the user is not lawfully entitled
  • submitting fraudulent or bad-faith refund requests
  • initiating unjustified chargebacks or payment reversals
  • making payments using stolen, compromised or otherwise fraudulently obtained funds
3.3 Technical Exploitation
  • manipulating, interfering with or disrupting the Platform's systems or code
  • deliberately exploiting software bugs, errors or unintended system behaviour
  • attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Platform's infrastructure, databases or backend systems
  • deploying automated scripts, bots or other tools in violation of Platform rules
  • conducting denial-of-service, brute-force or other attacks against the Platform
3.4 Data & Results Manipulation
  • falsifying, fabricating or misrepresenting data submitted to the Platform
  • artificially generating, inflating or manipulating performance records or results
  • circumventing programme rules, evaluation criteria or challenge parameters through any means
  • bypassing or subverting Platform control and monitoring mechanisms
3.5 Brand & Marketing Abuse
  • impersonating ALTIVOR INSTITUTE or its personnel in any communications or public forum
  • distributing false, misleading or defamatory information concerning ALTIVOR INSTITUTE or its services
  • deceiving prospective or existing users regarding the nature, terms or results of Platform services
  • using ALTIVOR INSTITUTE's brand, name, logo or intellectual property without authorisation
Section 04
Monitoring & Detection

ALTIVOR INSTITUTE may deploy technical and organisational measures for the purpose of detecting and preventing fraudulent activity, including:

  • automated analysis of user activity patterns and behavioural anomalies
  • anomaly detection systems applied to Platform usage and transaction data
  • payment verification and anti-fraud screening procedures
  • systematic review of system logs, access records and audit trails
  • security protocols and identity verification checks where warranted

All monitoring activities are conducted in accordance with applicable data protection law and the Privacy Policy.

Section 05
User Verification

ALTIVOR INSTITUTE reserves the right to request additional identity or account verification from any user where there are reasonable grounds to do so. Such verification may include, but is not limited to, confirmation of identity documentation, payment method ownership or account activity.

Failure or refusal to cooperate with a verification request may result in temporary or permanent restriction of access to Platform services, at the discretion of ALTIVOR INSTITUTE.

Section 06
Enforcement Actions

Where ALTIVOR INSTITUTE has reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent or abusive conduct, it may take any one or more of the following enforcement actions without prior notice:

  • temporary restriction of specific account functionality pending investigation
  • suspension of access to all or part of the Platform's services
  • permanent blocking of access to the Platform
  • cancellation and voiding of results, benefits or entitlements obtained through fraudulent means
  • permanent termination and deletion of the user's account

Enforcement decisions are final and binding. Where a user believes an enforcement action has been applied in error, they may submit a formal request for review in accordance with the Complaints & Support Policy.

Section 07
Payment & Benefit Suspension

ALTIVOR INSTITUTE may suspend, withhold or place on hold any payments, refunds, credits or other benefits pending the outcome of a fraud investigation. This measure does not constitute a final determination and will be reviewed upon conclusion of the investigation.

Where fraud is confirmed, any benefits obtained through fraudulent conduct will be permanently cancelled and ALTIVOR INSTITUTE reserves the right to seek recovery of any losses incurred.

Section 08
Third-Party Cooperation

Where circumstances warrant, ALTIVOR INSTITUTE may cooperate with and share relevant information with:

  • payment processors and acquiring banks in connection with payment fraud investigations
  • financial institutions and regulatory bodies where required by law or regulatory obligation
  • law enforcement authorities in connection with suspected criminal activity
  • specialist cybersecurity and fraud prevention service providers

Such cooperation will be conducted in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and solely to the extent necessary for the purpose of fraud prevention or law enforcement.

Section 09
User Responsibility

Each user bears sole and exclusive responsibility for:

  • maintaining the security and confidentiality of their login credentials and account access
  • all activity conducted through their account, irrespective of whether it was performed by them personally
  • ensuring that all use of the Platform is conducted in full compliance with applicable law
  • reporting any suspected security breach or unauthorised access to their account to ALTIVOR INSTITUTE without undue delay
Section 10
Zero Tolerance Statement

ALTIVOR INSTITUTE operates a strict zero-tolerance policy with respect to all forms of fraudulent, deceptive or abusive conduct on the Platform. This policy applies equally to all users without exception, regardless of account type, tenure or access tier.

Any confirmed instance of fraudulent conduct will result in immediate and permanent enforcement action. No mitigation based on prior account history or partial compliance will be considered in respect of confirmed fraud.

Section 11
Legal Recourse

ALTIVOR INSTITUTE expressly reserves the right to:

  • pursue civil claims for damages, losses and costs arising from fraudulent conduct
  • initiate or support criminal proceedings against individuals responsible for fraud
  • report fraudulent conduct to the relevant regulatory, law enforcement or governmental authorities
  • seek injunctive relief or other equitable remedies where appropriate

The exercise of any enforcement rights under this Policy does not preclude ALTIVOR INSTITUTE from pursuing any other legal remedy available under applicable law.

Section 12
Protection of Legitimate Users

The measures set out in this Policy are designed primarily to protect the interests and safety of users who engage with the Platform in good faith and in compliance with its terms. ALTIVOR INSTITUTE is committed to ensuring that fraud prevention measures do not adversely affect legitimate users.

Users who believe that enforcement action has been taken against them in error are encouraged to contact ALTIVOR INSTITUTE at contact@altivor.institute to initiate a review.

Section 13
Policy Amendments

ALTIVOR INSTITUTE reserves the right to update this Policy at any time in response to new or emerging fraud typologies, technological developments or changes in applicable law. Amended versions will be published on the Platform and will take effect upon publication. Continued use of the Platform following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

This Policy is issued by ALTIVOR INSTITUTE and is to be read in conjunction with the Terms & Conditions, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy and Complaints & Support Policy.
