Risk Disclosure

Effective Date March 4, 2026
Issued By ALTIVOR INSTITUTE
Domain altivor.institute
Document Type Standalone Legal Notice
Important Risk Warning

Trading financial instruments, particularly with leverage, carries a very high level of risk and may not be suitable for all individuals. You may lose part or all of your invested capital. Please read this document carefully before accessing or using any content, tools, or programmes offered by ALTIVOR INSTITUTE.

This document outlines the risks associated with trading financial instruments and with the use of educational materials and tools available on ALTIVOR INSTITUTE (the "Platform"). It constitutes an integral supplement to the Terms & Conditions but does not replicate their provisions. By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read and understood the contents of this Risk Disclosure in their entirety.

Section 01
General Risk Warning

Trading financial instruments in particular those involving leverage is associated with a very high level of risk. The following outcomes are possible and must be considered before engaging in any trading activity:

  • Partial loss of invested capital
  • Total loss of invested capital
  • Losses exceeding the initial investment (depending on the instrument and broker)

Trading is not appropriate for all individuals. You should only trade with funds you can afford to lose entirely without impacting your financial wellbeing or standard of living.

Section 02
Non-Investment Nature of Services

All content, tools, and programmes offered by ALTIVOR INSTITUTE are exclusively educational and operational in nature. Nothing provided on this Platform constitutes or should be construed as:

  • Investment advice or financial recommendations
  • Financial, tax, or legal counsel
  • An offer or solicitation to acquire financial instruments
  • A managed investment service or signal service

All investment decisions are made solely by the user, at their own discretion and risk. ALTIVOR INSTITUTE bears no responsibility for the financial outcomes of any trading activity undertaken by users of the Platform.

Section 03
Leverage Risk

Leveraged instruments amplify both potential gains and potential losses relative to the margin deposited. A small adverse movement in the price of an underlying asset can result in:

  • Substantial losses relative to the initial margin
  • Margin call requiring the deposit of additional funds
  • Forced liquidation of open positions

Users should understand the mechanics of leverage fully before trading leveraged products. Higher leverage ratios increase both risk exposure and the speed at which losses can accumulate.

Section 04
Market Risk

Financial markets are subject to unpredictable fluctuations driven by a wide range of factors, including but not limited to:

  • Macroeconomic conditions and data releases
  • Central bank policy decisions and interest rate changes
  • Geopolitical events and political uncertainty
  • Shifts in market liquidity and participant behaviour
  • Sudden, unexpected market events (flash crashes, black swan events)

Past performance whether of a strategy, instrument, or trader does not constitute a guarantee or reliable indicator of future results. Historical consistency in process does not imply future financial success.

Section 05
Psychological Risk

Trading requires a high degree of emotional stability, discipline, and psychological resilience. Without these qualities, users may experience:

  • Elevated stress and anxiety linked to financial exposure
  • Impulsive and emotionally driven decision-making
  • Overtrading or revenge trading following losses
  • Deterioration of risk management discipline over time

ALTIVOR INSTITUTE's frameworks are designed to support process discipline, but cannot substitute for individual psychological readiness to trade.

Section 06
Strategy & System Risk

No trading strategy or systematic approach guarantees positive outcomes. Any strategy presented or referenced within the Platform may:

  • Cease to perform effectively under changing market conditions
  • Generate extended sequences of consecutive losses
  • Require continuous adaptation, optimisation, and review

Users are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability of any framework, strategy, or system for their own circumstances and risk tolerance.

Section 07
User Error Risk

Losses may arise from operational errors unrelated to market conditions. Common sources of user-generated risk include:

  • Inadequate position sizing and capital management
  • Errors in order entry (incorrect volume, direction, or instrument)
  • Misinterpretation of educational content
  • Insufficient practical experience prior to live trading

ALTIVOR INSTITUTE assumes no liability for losses arising from user errors, misapplication of educational content, or decisions made based on Platform materials.

Section 08
Technology Risk

Electronic trading is dependent on technical infrastructure that is subject to failure. Technology-related risks include:

  • Internet connectivity interruptions or outages
  • Data transmission latency and delays
  • Software errors, bugs, or platform malfunctions
  • Disruptions to broker or exchange infrastructure
  • Cybersecurity incidents including unauthorised access

Such events may prevent the execution, modification, or closure of orders. ALTIVOR INSTITUTE does not guarantee uninterrupted access to Platform tools and accepts no liability for losses attributable to technical failures.

Section 09
Liquidity & Execution Risk

Under conditions of reduced market liquidity, users may encounter:

  • Price slippage execution at a price materially different from the quoted price
  • Partial fills or complete non-execution of orders
  • Significantly widened bid-ask spreads
  • Rapid and extreme price movements with limited opportunity to respond

These conditions are most prevalent around major news releases, market open and close periods, and during low-liquidity sessions.

Section 10
Simulated Data Risk

Where the Platform utilises simulated, hypothetical, or backtested data, users should be aware that such data:

  • Does not reflect actual real-time market conditions
  • May exclude realistic transaction costs, spreads, and commissions
  • Cannot replicate the psychological pressure of live trading
  • Is subject to hindsight bias in its construction

Simulated results are not indicative of future live trading performance and should not be treated as such.

Section 11
Educational Content Interpretation

Educational materials published by ALTIVOR INSTITUTE are subject to individual interpretation. The Platform cannot control or account for how users apply the knowledge, frameworks, or concepts encountered. Users bear full responsibility for the manner in which they utilise educational content in their trading activity.

Section 12
Suitability Risk

Trading may be entirely unsuitable for individuals who exhibit one or more of the following characteristics:

  • Low tolerance for financial risk or capital loss
  • Unstable financial circumstances or limited disposable capital
  • Lack of prior market knowledge or trading experience
  • Susceptibility to emotional decision-making under pressure

Each user is solely responsible for conducting an honest assessment of their own suitability before engaging in trading activity. ALTIVOR INSTITUTE does not provide personal suitability assessments.

Section 13
Regulatory & Tax Risk

The regulatory framework governing trading activities varies significantly across jurisdictions. Users are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable local laws and regulations
  • Accurately reporting and declaring trading income and gains
  • Meeting all relevant tax obligations in their country of residence
  • Understanding the legal status of the financial instruments they trade

ALTIVOR INSTITUTE does not provide tax or legal advice and accepts no liability for regulatory non-compliance by users.

Section 14
Market Availability Risk

Financial markets may be temporarily suspended, closed, or subject to restricted trading under certain conditions. Extreme market events may give rise to:

  • Complete suspension of trading in affected instruments
  • Extraordinary volatility and gap risk at market reopening
  • Trading restrictions or circuit breakers imposed by regulators or exchanges

ALTIVOR INSTITUTE cannot guarantee the availability of any market, instrument, or trading platform at any given time.

Section 15
Independent Decision-Making

All investment and trading decisions are made independently by the user. ALTIVOR INSTITUTE does not monitor, supervise, or influence the trading or investment activity of Platform users. The Platform provides educational and operational frameworks only. The application of any framework to live market conditions is the sole responsibility of the individual user.

By accessing and using ALTIVOR INSTITUTE, you confirm and declare that:

  • You have read and understood the nature and extent of the risks associated with trading financial instruments
  • You accept the possibility of sustaining significant financial losses, up to and including the total loss of capital
  • You act on your own account and bear sole responsibility for all investment decisions
  • You acknowledge that educational content does not eliminate or reduce the inherent risks of trading
  • You have independently assessed your financial circumstances and suitability for trading activity

This Risk Disclosure constitutes a binding acknowledgement of the foregoing when you access or use the Platform. If you do not accept these terms, you must discontinue your use of ALTIVOR INSTITUTE immediately.
